SYNOPSIS
Oscar® qualified and award winning short film, CELLULOID DREAMS tells the story of an old man who fixes a busted projector to relive home movies of the past, and starts to believe he can change them.

CELLULOID DREAMS was shot over the course of five nights in Los Angeles, California with a tightknit cast and crew that has a passion to tell moving stories. The flash back sequences were all shot in black and white 16mm film on an Arri SR, while all present day footage was shot on the RED Epic with Todd AO anamorphic lenses. We hope you enjoy the film as much as we did in making it.

PRESS/MAKING OF
“CELLULOID DREAMS is a superb piece of art which is masterfully done. It is a film that transcends all thought, words and actions and touches the heart, while it leaves one breathless and wanting more."
- Monteque Pope Le Beau
"Jonathan Dillion, writer/director/producer/editor, takes you into a world of young love, joy, happiness, then the twist and turns of life. In a classic fashion of film making you will be emotionally transported to a place where reflecting on your own blessings will be the outcome."
-The Hollywood Times
"CELLULOID maintains a sense of ambiguity regarding its nature, whether it is an excursion into magical realism-time travel or a simple memory play. Greg Lucey’s powerful performance as the contemporary Thompson is still eloquent without words... Cinematographer Hanuman Brown-Eagle’s black-and-white sequences look spot on and perfect."
